DRAUGHTER is a multifaceted artist based in New Orleans, LA, whose work encompasses modeling, photography, film, poetry, and performance. His photography has been featured in exhibits such as the Ogden Museum of Art's Louisiana Contemporary 2024 and The New Orleans Photo Alliance's The Human Experience. His visual art extends to figure drawing, with work showcased in Carey Lamprecht’s Who They Areexhibit. DRAUGHTER's modeling and photography have appeared in ColorBloc magazine and exhibits across Anchorage, AK, and New Orleans. As a filmmaker, he pushes cinematic boundaries with his poetic short films, including After, Paris Is Burning (2019), which he wrote, produced, and directed.
Beyond his visual art, DRAUGHTER is an actor, having trained under Doug Spearman and Veleka Gray. His stage debut was in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Fat Ham (2022), and he was recently cast as Carlos in the web series Guilty? He has lived in cities such as San Francisco, Paris, and Chicago, and in 2021, he launched The Braid Boy Diaries podcast, exploring Blackness and masculinity through intimate conversations. A trained poet since childhood, his work has been published in The American Poetry Review and recognized by Scholastic Young Arts & Writing. DRAUGHTER’s debut poetry and photography collection was released in June 2024.
